A sneak peak and Inspired 2010

As most of you know Debi and I went to North Carolina this month to participate in Donna Downey's event Inspired 2010, it was quiet an experience. We did mosaic's, we made jewelry, we used a plaster type material to make a figurine, we used a technique called encaustic wax to make a piece (that was my favorite).
So in summation we got out of our comfort zones and tried new things which we would never have done here at home.

This is the great group of women we ended up tabling (is that even a word?) with. From the left top it's Kristen, Ana, Dara (the mosaic teacher) Stephanie, Debi, Me, and Kathy. I hope I got everyone right. This is a drying table for the various figurines created by the students.
Here she is Donna herself, she was fantastical, funny, and a great host. For those of you that don't know I'm a big fan.... I hate to admit this... cause it's just not me but right before taking this picture I thought just for a second.... I was going to faint... there I said it... whatever... go ahead and make fun if you must..... I deserve it.

So I digress this month's design team kit was as always amazing, filled with all kinds of embellishing goodies, I bought some of Wendy Vecchi's stamp sets at The Paper Niche and used those so most of the flowers you see are made using her stamps.
Here are a few peeks of this months design team kit:

One last thing for those of you who know our local Distress Ink Queen at the Paperniche, Gine, her work was selected by THE MAN himself Tim Holtz in a challenge she entered. BTW she was chosen over 450 others. So congrats to you most awesome one, we all know you have those mad distress ink skills. We love you XOXOXO.
Thanks to all of my loyal peeps, I know my blogging is sporadic at best and for this I apologize....maybe that will be my new year's resolution for 2011.
Oh well until we meet again XOXOXO
L.
